“I’m studying in Rome but I am from L’Aquila.” “How’s your family doing after the earthquake?” “My grandma’s house was damaged and she is now living with my parents.” “Is she still without a house? Didn’t they rebuild the city after four years?” “Not really. I think the people there are thinking too much about this earthquake, and the media talking about it all the time keeps making them feel like they are victims to be rescued. I think they should have the courage to get over the bad memories and move on, rebuilding their city on their own, like they did in Emilia.”
