This photo is the first one of a new series I’m doing in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme – UNDP.

Humans of Rome’s photos will be cross-posted on Humans of MY World and hopefully these portraits along with the stories will help raise awareness for the UN Millennium Development Goals (More info http://ift.tt/nR7QqZ).

By voting in this survey: http://ift.tt/1npm6a4 you can choose which of these very important goals matter to you the most.

“I like what Peres suggested to Pope Francis. He has a great idea: to create a ‘United Nations’ for religions. A parliament whose purpose is to achieve interfaith peace. I study theology since I was a kid and I’ve learned that all religions share the same idea of eternity. This idea is not some mystical thing, but rather an internal will that exists in each one of us. When lovers say ‘I love you’, they wish their love could last forever, even if they don’t think about it. This is what we all share, and it’s rock-solid, so we should start building peace from there.”
